“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12)
The High School Ministry aims to help teens spiritually blossom as they prepare for their transition into young adulthood and college. We emphasize the need to build spiritual convictions. We also strive to ensure that teens have a firm foundation that prepares them for a life of independence while still maintaining full reliance on God.
To assist in these endeavors, we have many activities designed to be both fun and spiritually edifying. Here are a few examples:
- Teen midweek services that focus on topics relevant to their lives
- Bible discussion groups that help teens understand how the Bible can be directly applied to their lives in order to live a life that honors God
- Once-a-month Teen Fun Nights focused on having fun, sharing the events of the week, and simply enjoying each other’s company
- Separate activities (targeted for young men and young women) to develop deep and meaningful relationships that are spiritual as well as enjoyable
