Teaching 6 months old to 6th grade
Our mission in the Fayetteville Church is to impress upon our children’s heart the living word of God in an inviting, fun-filled and energetic environment.
In obedience to Deuteronomy 6: 1-9
“1 These are the commands, decrees and laws the LORD your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, 2 so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the LORD your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life. 3 Hear, O Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, promised you.
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.“ (NIV)

We pray that our effort is Spirit filled thereby planting seeds and cultivating hearts that ultimately will lead to the best platform for a lifelong relationship with our God through our Savior Jesus Christ. We understand that the majority of child instruction occurs in the Christian home and we attempt to work closely with each parent in the development of their child’s heart before God.
Curriculum and Classes
In the spring of 1995 at a meeting of ministry leaders from around the world a specific curriculum for children was developed. Our Kid’s Kingdom Curriculum! This consists of eight quarters of powerful Bible centered material for each of these age groups: 2yrs and 3yrs, 4yrs and 5yrs, 1st and 2nd grade, 3rd and 4th grade, and Preteen(5th and 6th grade). These eight quarters are used on a rotating basis, being repeated every two years.
Reports have come from many locations about how this curriculum is having an impact on children (as well as on teachers and parents!)
Classes consist of energetic centers of singing and praising God, a Bible lesson, Bible application and a craft. Weekly attendance in our Children’s Ministry classes ranges from about 50 to 70 children, plus a large teacher corps of adult members from The Fayetteville Church. In order to qualify for teaching in our Kid’s Kingdom, one must be a member in good standing of The Fayetteville Church for at least 6 months, attend a thorough training workshop and undergo a screening process. This screening process is designed to protect the children and the teacher. Additionally, a rule of maintaining at least 2 teachers present at all times in class is strictly followed.
Class numbers are kept small, and conducted within a framework of a high teacher-per-child ratio We attempt to keep the firsthand experience of relationship building through love, respect, and a Bible-centered curriculum bathed in a self-discovery learning style. We provide care for infants from age 6 months to 6th grade during our service.
We have additional Preteen and Teen activities ongoing throughout the month.
Overview of Curriculum
6 months to 23 months:
Interactive time with “Mimi” as a sing along and playtime demonstrates God’s creation. Come observe this inspiring time with the young children. Building a kids life starts at a very early age. The beginning stages of spiritual development are learning blocks that can help children discover early on how much God loves them. Our nursery gives children the opportunity to grow in a loving, caring environment that teaches life lessons in a biblical model.
Our preschool guides little hearts (2-3 years and 4-K ) into a safe, creative place that instills biblical concepts through age-specific learning.
2 and 3 year old
Topics of friendship, thankfulness, and prayer.
4 year olds to Kindergarden
Topics of Daniel , God Knows me, and Serving
Watch as kids accelerate to a whole new level of relationship with God. 1st through 6th graders will engage in captivating environments filled with Bible lessons that will develop their faith, character, and purpose in life. We attempt to create settings that not only enable strong spiritual growth, but strong friendships with other children. Every week will be a new fun and creative experience designed just for kids as they grow in their walk with God.

3rd and 4th grade
Topics: Jesus’s Beginnings, Sermon on the Mount, The Miracles and The Kingdom
Preteens
Topics: Evidence, Crucifixion and Resurrection, Guts to Glory and The Character of Jesus
